A Closer Look at the Production
“The Remains of Your Ancestors” is the sixth track on “Intertemporal”. Released alongside the album in 2025, the song has now received an official music video, one year after the record first saw the light of day.
According to the band, the new music video was directed and edited by Kenan Haliloğlu. Erman Aydöner of Lavega Sound Studio took care of the mastering, while Murat Aytekin of Goril Film oversaw the production. The background screenshots were provided by Ege Tezcan, with Şafak Irmak delivering the behind-the-scenes footage. Mördak İstanbul is credited for the studio.
A Presence in Turkish Black Metal
The band first appeared in Istanbul’s underground scene in 1999. Their catalogue comprises eight full-length albums, beginning with “Khanjar – Ruins of Kara-Shehr” in 2004 and continuing with “Machine Brain” [2005], “Time to Face” [2007], “K.I.N./Killer Is Nowhere” [2008], “Manevi” [2013], “Turk” [2015], “Endless” [2020] and “Intertemporal” [2025]. Alongside these albums, the band issued three EPs, the latest being “Time is an Illusion” [2023].
Their work has consistently revolved around themes such as existentialism, loneliness, spirituality and a dark vision of the future.
After more than 25 years of activity, Moribund Oblivion will bring their black metal to Romania for QFest, where they will share the stage with Vulture Industries, Sear Bliss, Khepra and Serement. The tickets for the event can be purchased here.
