Thrash Metal Lyrics-Read [TMLR] is taking its underground live series back to Bucharest, Romania this autumn, following the first edition, Chapel of Rust. The second instalment, Glitchlight, will take place on 24 October 2026 at Omen Bar, with four Romanian acts representing different sides of the alternative metal scene.
The bill features the Romanian groups Avoid Humanity, Breathelast, Hakairi and Innox, covering territory that ranges from hardcore and deathcore to grunge-tinged metal and funk influences. Tickets are already on sale, with a limited number of the first 50 available at a promotional price.

Four Bands Set for Glitchlight
Avoid Humanity from Bradu came together in 2017 following the end of Deadeye Dick, with death metal and hardcore forming the basis of their approach. Their 2020 debut, “Apex of Impurity”, brought them attention beyond Romania, including coverage from Metal Injection. The material deals with everyday frustrations and social absurdities, while their live presentation plays with the contrast between the people behind the music and the idea of the supposedly responsible adult.
With roots in the Constanța and Bucharest scenes, Breathelast have been active since 2010 and have consistently allowed their music to develop without being tied to one particular genre. Their releases include the self-titled “Breathelast” EP, the split “The Flood” with Cap de Craniu, “Maluri”, the 2018 album “All Of This Amounts To Exactly Nothing, Until You Throw It All Away” and “Marea Ascunsă”, released in 2025. The latter marked their first full-length album performed entirely in Romanian, adding another dimension to a catalogue already marked by stylistic experimentation.
Hakairi formed in Brașov in 2023, with five musicians bringing together hardcore and deathcore in a style built on tension and confrontation. They introduced themselves with “Echoes of Liberation” in 2024, followed by “Bleak Side” and “Rust”. Despite their relatively short history, these releases have already established the darker side of their musical identity, with the band favouring a dense and uncompromising approach.
The youngest name on the bill, Innox, formed in Bucharest in 2025 and approach metal through a combination of heavy riffs, grunge influences and more melodic rock passages. Axel, Toma, Tudor, David and Ștefan make up the current line-up. They released three singles: “Biscuit”, “Ecou” and “Apocalipsa (LXX)”. Their material ranges from heavier compositions and metaphorical lyrics to more vulnerable moments, giving the band room to explore different sides of their musical identity.
The Mission of TMLR Underground Live II: Glitchlight? Keeping the Underground Alive!
Through Glitchlight, TMLR continues its initiative of giving Romanian artists a platform to share their ideas and perspectives through their music. At the same time, the organisers see the event as an opportunity for audiences to discover bands that are willing to step outside the usual patterns and challenge expectations.
