The Ukrainian cinematic symphonic death metal band ERSEDU reveals a glimpse of their new conceptual EP, “GORE”, on May 19, 2026. “GORE” is the first chapter of a planned series dedicated to colors, beginning with red, the first color perceived by the human eye and one of the earliest used in human art and rituals.
About the EP
The EP explores red as a multifaceted symbolic system: death and sacrifice, blood and life, pain, passion, and love. These states intertwine in a dark, heavy, and emotionally charged space. The music is grim and atmospheric, filled with cinematic tension, dramatic contrast, and narrative depth. Each track stands as an independent story with its own emotional identity. You can listen to the first two singles, “Eros” and “Offering” and prepare to enter this whole new universe.

A look at the new songs
“Eros” is the representation of love, a feeling often associated with the color red. This song begins with a soft voice layered over a powerful instrumental. It feels like passion, something so sweet yet so intense. But this passion is overtaken by a dramatic brutality. This continuous change of tones embodies all the sensations given by love, from its gentle and comforting warmth to its overwhelming intensity and inevitable turmoil.
“Offering” represents blood and regeneration. The beginning of the song feels ritualistic, as if each note is part of a sacred act of sacrifice. But it is more than a sacrifice. Mother Nature takes the blood flowing from a fresh corpse, only to return it to a newborn being. In this never-ending cycle of life, blood has always symbolized vitality, serving as the link between death and rebirth, between what fades and what rises anew.
