Danish death metal juggernauts Wrath Of Belial have just dropped a searing official lyric video for Embers , the title track from their latest full-length Embers Of Dead Empires, out on June 15th, via CDN Records.
Embers is a punishing and poetic declaration of the band’s signature sound. Indeed, it combines razor-sharp riffing, thunderous drumming, and scathing lyrical insight. It exemplifies the album’s themes of human cruelty and societal collapse, and stands as one of the record’s most intense moments.
The full-length album, produced by Mendel bij de Leij (Aborted, Cytotoxin), has already earned praise from critics, including a 4/5 skull rating from The Headbanging Moose , who called it: “A savage, refined, and punishingly tight release that casts a harsh light on human cruelty and societal decay… more than just a record, but a sharpened spear aimed at the heart of apathy and decay.”
Drawing from the brutality of Aborted, Suffocation, and Cannibal Corpse, while adding a progressive edge reminiscent of Mastodon, Embers Of Dead Empires is a must-hear for fans of technical and melodic death metal. The album also features guest performances by Bastian Thusgaard (Soilwork, Dawn of Demise) and Alex Bossen (OXX), with drum engineering by Jacob Bredahl (Hatesphere), and album artwork by Daemorph.
