After years of silence, Danish black funeral doom artist Nortt emerges from the void with “Dødssang“, a new full-length album that brings his signature bleak sound back to the forefront. The wait has been long, and the time away has only sharpened the intensity of his music.

The Long-Awaited Return
Danish for “death song”, “Dødssang” marks Nortt’s first release since 2017‘s “Endeligt“. Before the album’s arrival, the artist offered “Dødsengel“, hinting at the weighty atmosphere of “Dødssang”. The pace of the song is measured, with tortured vocal screams that sometimes deepen into guttural tones. The track is now streaming via Avantgarde Music’s Bandcamp and Nortt’s SoundCloud.
