Portuguese (based in Dallas, Texas, USA) black metal band Sardonic Witchery returns! Indeed, with the first single of 2025, Lucifer, out on February 7th. This track is one of three songs featured on an upcoming split CD with Decayed and Law of Contagion. The split will come out in June, via Nekrogoat Heresy Productions.
Lucifer is the newest offering from Sardonic Witchery, recorded at Black Throne Studios in Dallas, Texas. Of course, with all instruments, lyrics, and vocals handled by King Demogorgon. The single was mixed and produced at Northlake Studios in Washington, D.C., by Gabriel Luis, who also contributed lead guitars and keyboards to the track.
Lucifer is one of three tracks which will feature on the upcoming split CD, alongside Decayed and Law of Contagion. The bands scheduled the split for release in June 2025 via Nekrogoat Heresy Productions.
However, this release represents a new chapter for Sardonic Witchery, maintaining its old-school black metal essence while reinforcing a more aggressive and unrelenting approach. The single precedes a wave of live performances scheduled across Europe, including Portugal, Spain, and Germany’s Under the Black Sun Festival. As well as a tour in Colombia, set for August.
