CRYPTS OF DESPAIR

Death metal act Crypts of Despair set April 18th as international release date for their third full-length album. Titled We Belong In The Grave, the nine track new album will come out via Transcending Obscurity Records.

Lithuanian band Crypts of Despair have exemplified playing death metal in a fierce, ruthless and ball-busting heavy way. Just when you think they had perfected their sound bolstering it with all the right dark and vile elements on their highly acclaimed previous album, they decided to hone their sound some more on their new one.

Clearly, they are not content to bask in the glory of their past efforts no matter how good they are, and have evolved and refined their sound further. The new album retains the band’s intimidating demeanor. However, now the music is comparatively more condensed, visceral, intuitive, and even displays hints of melancholy. The execution remains forceful and the riffs are compelling enough to commit crimes, egged on by the relentless barrage of seemingly multi-tongued demonic vocals.

The band functions as a unit better now than ever before with a thick, cohesive sound that drives the point home. This is sheer aural terror and they have become veritable masters of it. We Belong In The Grave is a bold step ahead for Crypts of Despair, maintaining the band’s high standards while updating the sound for maximum impact and utter devastation.
