The first edition of Spears of Wallachia Festival will take place this week at Quantic on November 8 and 9, featuring bands like Necrowretch (France), Frostmoon Eclipse (Italy), Akral Necrosis (Romania), Godiva (Portugal), and others from the extreme metal scene. Due to a high volume of messages in recent days, the organizers have made one day tickets available.

Band Highlights
Necrowretch – Death/Black Metal, France Necrowretch blends high-quality elements of Death and Black Metal in an iconic mix showcased across five studio albums. Born in 2008, the band originally signed with Century Media and later moved to Season of Mist Underground Activists. Their latest release, Swords of Dajjal, came out on February 2, 2024, and has been well-received, noted for an intensified Black Metal influence alongside their signature Death Metal sound. Influences include Dissection and Necrophobic.

Frostmoon Eclipse – Black Metal, Italy
A pioneering force in Italian Black Metal, Frostmoon Eclipse celebrates 30 years in 2024. The band, formed by Claudio Alcara in 1994, is remastering and reissuing its catalog through Immortal Frost Productions. Known for incorporating acoustic guitar within traditional black metal, Frostmoon Eclipse’s debut album Gathering the Dark remains a classic blend of raw ’90s Black Metal and melodic elements.

Akral Necrosis – Black Metal, Romania One of Romania’s most aggressive and long-standing black metal bands, Akral Necrosis has remained active since 2006, combining Black, Thrash, and Progressive elements. Recently, they released Live in Hidden as a limited audio cassette edition and are currently working on their fourth studio album.
