The French old school death metal band Muertissima announced the release of their second album, Prophecy, on February 13, 2026 through Fetzner Death Records. They promise to deliver a dark and visceral album, filled with lyrics that explore universal and disturbing themes: war, the downfall of humanity, religious corruption, the worship of money and the desperate search for meaning.
The new album rises as a violent rage against modern society, designed to disturb and awaken the listeners. Your heart will tremble to the rhythm of the crushing riffs, your soul will scream along with the pure rage and your mind will be pushed to think deeper about the people around you.

About the band
Founded by guitarist El Pradosaure, Muertissima is a Death Metal band hailing from the Paris region. From its early days, the band has asserted a powerful musical signature, blending old-school death metal with elements of black and thrash in a sonic alchemy that is both effective and brutal.
In 2021, the band released their debut album, Inquisition, recorded at Lower Tones Place Studio. The response was immediate: Muertissima was praised for its razor sharp sound and straightforward approach, reviving the roots of death metal with a strong personal twist. The second album has been in the works since 2023 with a clear ambition: to go further, hit harder, and set every stage ablaze.
