Born in Denmark in 2010, HEXIS emerged from the DIY ethos of the punk and hardcore scenes, while being deeply rooted in the black metal sound and infused with elements of doom, post-metal, and sludge.
Entirely self-taught and fully independent, the members of HEXIS are spread across Europe and have gained recognition not only for their outstanding recordings, but above all for their intense live performances that have taken them to top-tier festivals such as Roskilde, Bloodstock, Roadburn, and Ieper Fest.
Their discography includes three studio albums: Abalam (2014), Tando Ashanti (2017), and Aeternum (2022), along with numerous EPs and split releases.
Opening the evening, GERRAR is a black metal band from Bucharest, founded in 2019 by Ger (guitar) and Stege (vocals). Initially a two-man project born in isolation, it soon evolved into a fully-fledged band exploring themes of suffering and resilience.
Their debut EP dropped in 2021, followed in 2023 by their first full-length studio album, Renaștere (Rebirth), available on all streaming platforms. A Deluxe Edition soon followed, featuring three exclusive bonus tracks.
Known for their intense stage presence, GERRAR has shared the stage with acts like Judas Priest, Imperial Triumphant, Rotting Christ, Yoth Iria, Graveland, Clitgore, Sickret, and An Theos. They’ve performed at major festivals such as Metalhead Meeting 2024, Archangels Fest 2021, and Psychosounds Fest 2023, as well as in clubs across Romania and Eastern Europe.
