Technical death metal band Burial Ruthless, originating from Venezuela, released their new single, National Autopsy, on December 11th, 2024. Indeed, inspired by the 2010 exhumation of Simón Bolívar, the track explores themes of historical manipulation and nationalism, blending speed, groove, and precise musicianship to deliver a powerful statement. The band recorded the new single at Home Studio in Barcelona, Spain, with the producer Jorge Medina (ex Evil Reborn). Also, Jorge Medina dealt with mixing and mastering it.

National Autopsy is the latest single by Burial Ruthless, bringing a sharp and unrelenting dose of technical death metal. Led by Víctor Figueroa, the Venezuelan band has built a reputation in the underground for their precise musicianship and thought-provoking lyrics. This time, they take on the exhumation of Simón Bolívar, a historically charged event that reignited debates over revisionism and national identity.

The track delivers sheer speed, groove, and razor-sharp execution—hallmarks of the band’s sound. Even before its release, National Autopsy has already sparked discussions, particularly in Venezuela, due to its artwork, reinforcing Burial Ruthless as a disruptive force in extreme metal. Musically, the band channels the intensity of acts like Necrophagist, Obscura, Death, and Vader, balancing technical prowess with crushing aggression.

Lineup:
Víctor Figueroa – Guitar, Vocals
Héctor Lavid – Drums
Helios Ferrer – Bass
