Atmospheric depressive black metal band Everything Dies is gearing up for the October 4th release of their debut album, Survivalist. Each of the seven songs offers a cold and bleak landscape across a wide spectrum, describing the process of a failed relationship. The thoughts, hurdles, and questions that remain after being abandoned are exposed in the raw despondency of the album.
Germany’s Everything Dies is new to the scene. The band came to life in 2024 due to Stefan Lorenz aka Nargathrond. The band embraces the more dynamic side of black metal. Indeed, it does so by incorporating atmospheric, melodic and depressive styles into their modern touch. The result is a unique black metal style with a lot of recognition value.
Survivalist is an album that embraces the underground, abrasive nature of black metal while packing a poignant edge that is just as sharp. The blackened screams and excoriated riffs find their place against clean vocals and spacious layers, these different elements swirling together as a sterling concoction of disheartening emotion.
