Drawing inspiration from the likes of Lamb of God, Decapitated, and Bloodbath, Valar Morghulis delivers a relentless onslaught of death, thrash, and groove metal. Lead guitarist, GR, shares the band’s sentiments, “Ghost is more than just a single for us. We began writing the track on Easter Sunday 2023. A day that was marred by the brutal murder of a family member. The music and lyrics of this song hold a particular meaning for us after the events of that day. Ghost is our response to murderers, rapists, pedophiles, and their ilk.”
However, Ghost showcases Valar Morghulis‘ evolution and maturity as a band. While the track retains the band’s signature aggression, it also explores more moderate and melodic elements.
