The legend has it that there will be two more headliners and plenty of other bands to be announced for Old Grave Fest X (…) And ladies and germs, the legend had it right, so here we are with some new updates.
Let’s hear it strike from the horse’s mouth:

“The time has come for us to reveal another three bands for Old Grave Fest X, including one of the headliners.

You all know we keep our promises, so it will come as no surprise that Angel Witch will is back on our bill as one of the headliners of OGF X! NWOBHM is such an important part of what we love and we’re beyond happy to be able to continue what we started with Pagan Altar in 2018 and kept going with such luminaries as Blitzkrieg and Satan. The pandemic threw a spanner in the works but we were never going to give up on these masters of their craft. We believe no further introduction is needed: sharp but brooding, epic and concise, Angel Witch is a cornerstone of the genre and there’s no excuse to miss their first ever appearance in Romania!

Now on to some of Ireland’s finest. Coscradh is part of a burgeoning scene that covers all of the more gnarly sides of metal. What the Dublin quartet bring to the table is murky death metal steeped in the cacophony of the more bestial reaches of black metal, not unlike bands such as Teitanblood or Imprecation. It’s all very ugly and raucous and that’s why we love it.

Italy’s Gargoyle round up this batch. The name of their debut album, Hail to the Necrodoom, says it all – it’s an outstanding work that makes you think about what greats such as Mortuary Drape or Mystifier would do if they were transported in time from their early efforts to the present day. Black metal can’t get much more interesting than this!
