Likno, an atmospheric black metal duo from Kozani, Greece, is excited to announce the release of their self-titled debut album. The seven track material came out as independent release, in digital format.

Likno‘s story began around the outbreak of COVID-19. The members, Neurosplinter and Flægra, met and started jamming together, experimenting with various instruments and genres. Their sessions included songs by 16 Horsepower, Regressverbot, and video game soundtracks, eventually transitioning to iconic black metal bands such as Bathory, Rotting Christ, and Varathron. This shared passion for black metal led them to create their own music.

By October 2022, they decided to compose their first song, Void, followed by Likno. The process flowed naturally, resulting in the completion of their debut album. Likno recorded each instrument one at a time, crafting a sound that pays homage to old school black metal while incorporating atmospheric elements.

The band’s music is influenced by a wide range of genres beyond black metal. Key inspirations include classical music, Greek folk music, and medieval music, all of which contribute to the unique sound of their debut album.

3. Void
4. Birth
5. Sea
6. Still
7. White Wings

Band lineup:
