After causing quite a stir with their self-titled debut album, Beyond Dystopia has upped the ante with Silence. This track showcases the band’s signature blend of heavy rhythms, powerful screams, and melodic sounds… However, while moving towards more technical and heavier riffing.
Silence tackles themes of oppressive powers and the struggle to rise against them, capturing the spirit of rebellion and the desire for freedom. The accompanying music video brings these themes to life with powerful imagery, creating a compelling visual experience that complements the song’s intense message.
Recorded at Little Creek Studio with Swiss metal pioneer V.O. Pulver (Poltergeist, Gurd, Messiah), Silence is a testament to Beyond Dystopia‘s evolving sound and their commitment to pushing the boundaries of their genre.
About the band
Beyond Dystopia is a band that refuses to fit into any single genre. Thus, combining hard riffs, brutal drums, and two distinctive voices, their sound is a unique mix of progressive, melodic death, and alternative metal. Formed in 2017 by Basil (guitar/vocals), Pascal (drums), and Sam (bass/vocals), the band quickly made a name for themselves. Obviously, with their energetic live performances and thought-provoking music.
Their journey began with a demo tape in 2018. Then, numerous shows across Switzerland followed and a tour in England, in 2019. Despite the interruptions caused by the pandemic, they managed to release their debut album in November 2022. Consequently, the band received widespread acclaim across Europe. With Xaver now on drums, Beyond Dystopia continues to captivate audiences with their innovative sound and powerful performances.
