Mortifer Rage

Mortifer Rage, the Brazilian death metal band known for their intense and technical sound, has released a new album today, July 12th. Titled Plagues Requiem the eleven track material came out via DemonCratic Records. Forged in fury and obscurity, this album is a powerful opposition and legacy of hatred against the lethargy of a twisted and sick society. Furthermore, it highlights themes of human manipulation and hypocrisy across 11 hard-hitting tracks.

Together with the new album release, the Brazilian band premiered the official lyric video for the ninth track, Awareness.

While not a concept album, Plagues Requiem addresses the horrors of what became known as the Brazilian Holocaust. Especially in the song “The Holocaust of Madness” and its cover art. This dark period involved torture, shocks, lobotomy, sale of corpses, and social discrimination against marginalized groups, a reality now exposed in the Museum of Madness in Barbacena, Minas Gerais, Brazil.
