Doom/death metal band DinUmbra from Bucharest, in collaboration with AmpsOnAir (Bulgaria), will release the single Dying World accompanied with a video. The video is the “live in the studio” version of the song, which will be part of the band’s next album, titled Finality. AmpsOnAir did the filming, editing and audio mixing, in 2024.
Dying World video will premiere on Saturday, February 17th, on AmpsOnAir Youtube channel.
Indeed, the Dying World concept represented the starting point in the creation of the album Finality. Thus, the lyrics of the song present humanity in its struggle for survival in a post-apocalyptic world. Moreover, the post-apocalyptic world depicted is one where civilization on Earth is called into question.
Dying World, the studio version, is actually the second song extracted as a single from the upcoming album Finality, after The Hunt. It was recorded and mixed last year.
Daniel Neagoe created the cover artwork.
So far, DinUmbra has released 4 studio materials. Thus, the first one was an LP, distributed as an audio cassette in 2003 (DinUmbra). Then, two EPs followed, Haunted By Snails (2007) and Santandrei (2011). Furthermore, the Romanian band released the LP Soul Of A Galaxy, in 2015.
