HYPOCRISY is the second band confirmed for Rockstadt Extreme Fest 2019

1-4 august 2019

The legendary melodic death metal band led by Peter Tägtgren was founded in 1991 in Ludvika, Sweden. Although this project emerged only in the early 1990s, Hypocrisy began as a solitary project of Tägtgren called “Seditious”. The first songs had the classic death metal sound, “Penetralia” (1992) – the first long-playing disc – being considered representative for the european death metal. Throughout the musical career, however, the band switched to melodic death metal and also explored various lyrics themes – from anti-Christian to paranormal. The 10th album, “Virus”, focused on typical death metal such as violence, madness, torment of reality or torture, while “The End of Disclosure”, the 12th album refer to conspiracies and Illuminati.
