Update
After all the big names who were announced for the Autumn Souls Of Sofia 2017 Festval, it’s time for a less known but quite interesting band. It will take its place on the poster of the festival days between the 25th and 26th of November, in the Live&Loud club. COLD RAVEN. Despite their cold name they come from the warm and sunny Italy. Their short existence has an impressive history.
Founded in 2013 in Milano COLD RAVEN play melodic, but shrouded in mystery black metal with lyrical themes about the pre-Christian religions, the anti-cosmos magic and mayhem. Their first and only album so far is Equilibrium and Chaos which was recorded, mixed and mastered for three months in 2014. In December the same year COLD RAVEN signed with the Sliptrick Records label in order to distribute album worldwide and the record was released in the spring of 2015. In 2016 the Italian band devoted itself to touring as a support for the most extreme tour of the year: “The Evil Over Europe” with headliners POSSESSED and BELPHEGOR, and the special support from the American black metal band ABSU.
Currently COLD RAVEN are writing new material for their next album. It is expected to represent the growth of the band in terms of songwriting, although it will follow the style of their debut. Cold and raw sound of the 90’s in the spirit of the artists that have contributed to the development of the style. Aside from that tour COLD RAVEN have played with emblematic names from the extreme stage like Nargaroth, Infernal War, Necromass, Dark Funeral, God Dethroned, Unleashed, Mortuary Drape, Impaled Nazarene and had concerts in several European countries. As you can see, modest history – rich biography. They will certainly have something to show. The price of the tickets is now 50lv. You can buy them from “Rakovski” street 67 from ЯКО! shop in Sofia.

KRITTER are the next band on the Autumn Souls Of Sofia 2017 Festival band list
It’s time to introduce the next band that will be our guest for the Autumn Souls Of Sofia 2017 Festival, which will be held on the 25th and 26th of November at the Live&Loud club.
They come from the South, founded in 2006 in Salamanca. In 2007 they already have their first demo KRITTER, bearing the name of the band – KRITTER. They start to participate in local shows.
The first album, „Genesis”, doesn’t have the luck of the demo and is self-released two years later, in 2012. This gives them some publicity. Over 1,000 copies are sold, some of them reach South America and it is noticed by the critics. This allows for KRITTER to reach people far beyond the borders of Salamanca. In May the band release their first video “Fight to the end”, made for one of the tracks of “Genesis”.
The next album “Freak Show at Carnival Time” marks a major step forward. It comes soon after their debut in 2012. Produced by Mikka Jussila and released through the Maldito Records label. Far more professional in compositional terms, with better sound. The media starts to pay them more attention and they receive very good reviews. Three videos are made for tracks from the album.
A long tour follows – Freak Show To The Moon, which lasts two years and goes through many cities in Spain and Portugal. This makes the group more confident in their abilities, and the tour is very well received.
The next, for now last KRITTER album, “This Is Our War” is released in 2015 produced by Alan Douches, who has worked for bands like Anthrax, Sepultura, Mastotdon. The album, however is again self-released by the band, as KRITTER themselves are occupied with the management and their desire is “This Is Our War” to be heard all around the world.
In 2016. they reach the semifinals of the WOA Metal Battle, and later that year they toured in Russia, playing at more than 15 shows. The year ended with another tour in Portugal and their native Spain.
In the autumn we expect them to invade our territory as part of the line-up for the Autumn Souls Of Sofia 2017 Festival. Melo-Death forged with Power / Viking elements, combined with a bit of fiery temperament and even thrash inspirations. If you feel that KRITTER are your band, you are welcome to come to the show!
You have five days in which you can obtain tickets at a price of 40 lv . Since the 1st of April the price will be 50 lv You can do it from your already familiar places: eticketsmall.com, and at “Rakovski” str. № 67 in Sofia or in the ЯКО! shop.

Update
HYPOTHERMIA are the next band on the Autumn Souls Of Sofia 2017 festival list Of course, the Autumn Souls of Sofia 2017 festival needs something to bring balance to the storm of emotions.
This will be made by the Swedish black metal project HYPOTHERMIA, which confirmed its participation. The event will take place on the 25th and 26th of November in the Live&Loud club in Sofia.
HYPOTHERMIA are created in back 2001 and despite their black metal roots, they expand their music with ritualistic themes, passing the borders of the genre. For the unprepared listener the music of Kim Carlsson will be difficult to understand. Taking a look at the names of his previous bands (Kyla, Lifelover, Life is Pain) is enough to understand that we can’t expect uplifting tones. Their first demo “Saphien Irretable” is released in 2003, and after a brief silence, the fans of negative music are surprised by three released that are made in 2004. Such efforts can’t remain unnoticed and in 2005 Kim Carlsson released the first split “Lead Yourself To Failure” with the depressive band Durthang. A feeling of overwhelming grief marks the album, combined with an ambience of complete hopelessness. It is followed by a successful release with Dimhymn. The debut album “Veins” is released in 2006, through the Inskit label. The album is limited to 1000 copies on CD and 500 on cassette. That year is even more productive for HYPOTHERMIA – three more splits are released – with Aska, Svartnar and Arkha Sva, combined with a second full length album “Köld”. Antihumanism Records do their best to make the album emblematic – it is limited to 1500 cassettes. Their third full length album “Rakbladsvalsen” is released through the labels Total Holocaust and Those Opposed Records, in 2007. One of the labels releases the CD version and the other one makes cassette copies. All else is history which you can follow by yourselves. And so, after 10 years of history Kim Carlsson is working on the sixth album and an EP and in the autumn we will be able to see them here, on our native land. “Join them in the black mass.” – Hypothermia

Update
Witness the next band which joins the Autumn Souls of Sofia 2017 Festival. As we promised, the festival Autumn Souls of Sofia 2017, will become more and more interesting. The next band which will participate in the event on the 25th and 26th of November, will drive a nail through the coffin of your inner peace.
They come from the fatherland of black metal – Norway and bring upon us the true face of nihilism and inhumanity. They will mark the misanthropic path towards an unholy war, led by Satan himself. The founder of this infernal horde is an important figure in the Norwegian black metal scene. He comes from a band, whose name is a synonym of the Apocalypse in the Norwegian mythology. And if you haven’t guessed them yet… Dear friends, welcome their Infernal majesties SVARTTJERN!
We are honored to give you an unforgettable night with them as guests. Four studio albums and thirteen years of history mark their career, which started in 2003, when two brothers – HansFyrste and HaaN created a black metal duo. With time they decided to include other musicians as well, in order to have more live shows and to develop the band. That’s why later the same year Skabb, Grimdun and Ffjellnord joined SVARTTJERN and started to work on their first demo. The band centered around the creation of their own unique sound. Skabb left and Terror became the bassist of SVARTTJERN. With this line-up, they made their first record, named just “Demo”. It was released in 2007/8, but very few copies were made and they were mainly send to different labels. SVARTTJERN signed with Schwarzdorn Production and moved towards the process of recording their first full length album “Misanthropic Path of Madness, released on the 13th of February, 2009. This truly misanthropic creation received a positive reaction from the critics. During the same year they signed with Agonia Records and oversaw preparations for the second album. The result came upon the world in a combination of misanthropic formulas and TNBM, named “Towards the Ultimate”, released through Agonia Records in 2011. The next two years were dedicated to touring and spreading their Chaos through the world. They decided to cut the relations with Agonia Records and in 2013 they started to work on their third album, released in the beginning of 2014 through NoiseArt Records. Their work paid off in an amazing album – “Ultimatum Necrophilia”. During the same year they started touring with band such as Behemoth, Cradle of Filth, Inquisition and In Solitude. After the touring the band was in haste to return in the studio and to record the next piece of infernal brutality. In the year 2015 they changed their label with Soulseller Records and in the same year the bassist Sgt. V left because of personal matters and was changed with Malphas. Thus ”Dødsskrik” was born, the fourth full length album, which was released in the past year, bringing Chaos and Terror upon the realm of mortals. If you fell that you are a part of this hellish world and if the Norwegian black metal is your way of life, then mark the 25th and the 26th of November in your calendar. You won’t be misled. We promise!

Update
As we already announced the Autumn Souls of Sofia festival which will take place at the 25th and 26th of November, will have a special day – Autumn Souls of Sofia Warm-up party, which will have a different theme and will take place at the 24th of November, in the Live&Loud club. We are honored to tell you the name of the next band which will participate in our Freak Warm-up party. It is the Italian grindcore/death metal band Mindful of Pripyat. They describe their own style as “Insane and Radioactive GRINDCORE”, a logical continuation of their lyrical themes and band name, which focus on the danger of a nuclear disaster.
Mindful of Pripyat are created quite soon, in 2014, in the dystopian suburbs of a decaying city, drowning in a reality deformed by human mistakes. Years of crisis, leading to the perspective of a post-apocalyptic future. Amidst this futurism, three obscure young men are on the rise, destroying and screaming in a mixture of grindcore and death noise,in the vein of classical bands like Napalm Death, Terrorizer, Dead Infection.
In 2015 they signed a contract with the legendary BIZZARE LEPROUS PRODUCTION and released their debut “…And Deeper, I Drown in Doom…”. An Ep, which you can hear in their bandcamp page.

Update
The next band which joins the third edition of the Autumn souls of Sofia 2017 festival, which will take place on the 25th and the 26th of November 2017, in the Live&Loud club in Sofia, is the Ukranian-Russian band Fausttophel.
Ukraine has always been a synonym of good musical projects, so that’s the reason behind the joining of the next band in the Autumn Souls of Sofia 2017 list. FAUSTTOPHEL come together in 1999, In Poltava, Ukraine. In 2001 they disband and reform in 2009, in a lineup similar to the original, Alexander Chumak , Vyacheslav Willinvest , Alexander Adams Savinykh. The renew their musical activities, but this time in Obninsk, Russia, and the lineup is enhanced with the join of Valentine “MAU” Samokhin.
In April 2012 they start to record their debut album „ Жажда Забвения“, which is released in July 2013, through Another Side Records, with the participation of session musicians. With a solid lineup the band starts to tour and to prepare the material for the next album. The albums is …Sancta Simplicitas… released in the beginning of 2016. Right now, the band works on the next release and in the autumn they will visit us.
FAUSTTOPHEL are not a typical black metal band. They experiment constantly with the compositions but combining it with the old school sound of the genre by not using very polished sound, opposed to the majority of the bands nowadays. Despite the tragic events that led to the disbanding at the beginning, they still manage to get back again. The ten years long pause hasn’t stopped FAUSTTOPHEL. They still are rooted in the genre, keeping the mysticism of Gogol’s Ukraine and the softness of their folk music.
They have a special treatment for poetry. Spoken word, fragments from poems of the Silver age era, combined with the melodic Ukrainian language. All this filled with aggressive blast beats, massive and fast guitar riffs and obscure renditions. The musicians craft their art masterfully, combining ice and fire. This musical creation has forged the specific sounding of FAUSTTOPHEL.
And you shouldn’t forget to get tickets for Autumn Souls of Sofia 2017, which until the 1st of April will cost 40lv. You can do it from eticketsmall.com or at “Rakovski” street № 67 in Sofia, or at ЯКО! Shop.
