Finnish modern melodic death metal band Echoes of the Extinct released the first single, from their upcoming debut album! Titled Era of Darkness, the six track debut album will come out via Inverse Records.
The band posted on social media:
“This six-song journey is our take on modern death metal, packed with crushing riffs, haunting melodies, and raw intensity, and it will be available on all music streaming platforms.”
Last Page is the first single from the Echoes of the Extinct‘s debut album to come out later this year. Echoes of the Extinct from Jyväskylä, Finland kicks off with an aggressive death metal track that also has groovy riffs and a powerful chorus. Progressive elements shape the song further, leading into an extended mid section with dark, spoken parts that grow into an instrumental passage. A varied outro underlines the ultimate message: humanity’s selfish and ignorant choices have sown the seeds of ecological catastrophe and total annihilation. Indeed, the extinction is of our own making.
The band has announced they will release three singles prior to the debut album’s release. The first one came out on January 9th, therefore stay tuned, because two more are on their way!
