American metal band Buried will release the new EP Infect & Replicate on March 12th. Buried, a dynamic metal band hailing from Phoenix, Arizona, formed in 2022 due to the creative forces of Preston Wilson (bass) and Alex Valdés (guitar). Both seasoned musicians, they sought to channel their array of influences into a sound that melds doom, thrash, and progressive metal. In search of like-minded bandmates, they brought on Erik Scott, a powerful drummer with a diverse style, and Ben Rosputni, a fierce vocalist who had shared the stage with Preston in a band 15 years prior. Their reunion added a layer of depth and history to the band’s formation, grounding Buried in both experience and renewed passion.

About the band

Buried’s sound is a visceral blend of doom’s dark, brooding atmosphere, the relentless energy of thrash, and the complex structures of progressive metal. Drawing inspiration from legendary acts like Black Sabbath, Acid Bath, Pantera, Cannibal Corpse, and Death, Buried crafts music that is as heavy and aggressive as it is intricate and emotive. Thus, their compositions often feature crushing riffs and thunderous rhythms. Also, haunting vocals that explore themes of despair, defiance, and the human condition.

For the members of Buried, this band represents more than just another musical endeavor. Indeed, it is their final push to solidify their place in the metal scene. As seasoned musicians, they bring a sense of urgency and determination to their craft. Moreover, they channel years of passion and frustration, into a sound that is both raw and refined. Their journey is one of resilience, a testament to the enduring power of metal and the relentless pursuit of artistic fulfillment.

In a recent development, drummer Erik Scott left the band. Consequently, Joe Symons took up the drums duties, bringing his own energy and expertise to Buried’s ever-evolving lineup. With a growing reputation in the Phoenix metal scene and beyond, the band is poised to make their mark. Therefore, this is their story, their sound, and their legacy in the making.
