London-based black metal project Endloser Abgrund made a ferocious entrance into the extreme metal scene with the release of their debut EP, Kein Vergeben, Keine Gnade. Available since September 20th, the five track EP came out via Der Abt Records. This uncompromising release, clocking in at a relentless 15 minutes, delivers five tracks of pure, unfiltered abysmal black metal… Indeed, harking back to the genre’s most revered origins.
About the EP
Kein Vergeben, Keine Gnade is a raw and visceral assault, echoing the early works of black metal titans like Emperor, Bathory (early), and Immortal (early). Endloser Abgrund’s debut EP is a relentless barrage of aggressive, evil riffs and abyssal screams! Undoubtedly, captured with a harsh production style that amplifies the raw energy and intensity of their sound. From start to finish, this EP offers no reprieve, immersing listeners in a world of darkness and fury.
Lyrically, the EP delves deep into themes of hate, anger, vengeance, and pain, with each track dripping in venomous disdain. The vocal delivery is a chilling embodiment of these emotions. Lines like “No forgiveness, no mercy,” and “Your screams will be the anthem of my revenge,” paint a vivid picture of the EP’s uncompromising message.
Endloser Abgrund’s debut is not merely a nod to the past! Indeed, it’s a fierce statement of intent, positioning them as torchbearers of raw black metal. Their music is a tribute to the genre’s roots. Yet, it carves out a space that is distinctly their own, embodying the essence of what true black metal was meant to be—dark, unholy, and unapologetically evil. In the anger of the betrayed, the darkness rises… A storm of hate unleashed by lies…
