An Axis of Perdition

Industrial black metal band An Axis of Perdition, hailing from the UK will drop their fifth full-length album on December 13th. Titled Apertures, the ten track album will come out via Apocalyptic Witchcraft in multiple formats.

About the band

After a thirteen-year hiatus, An Axis of Perdition returns with their new album Apertures. The band’s journey is a compelling saga of evolution and experimentation within the industrial extreme metal landscape. Formed in the early 2000s, the band has harnessed their experiences with mental illness and the unsettling backdrop of Middlesbrough to craft a sound that melds dissonance with visceral intensity.

Their early releases, such as The Ichneumon Method and Deleted Scenes From The Transition Hospital, showcased their unique ability to blend harsh industrial elements with intricate metal compositions. Obviously, this has earned them critical acclaim and a devoted following. Later, their ambitious concept albums Urfe and Tenements pushed the boundaries further, weaving nightmarish narratives that reflected their distinct aesthetic.

After a period of dissolution, the duo’s return in 2019 marked a resurgence of creativity. Indeed, it is culminating in the 2024 release of Apertures. This album encapsulates their signature sound, while pushing into new realms of surrealism and atmospheric depth. With their recent partnership with Apocalyptic Witchcraft, An Axis of Perdition continues to redefine their musical landscape, offering listeners a haunting and immersive experience that remains distinctively their own.
