As some of you may recall, we’ve already dropped the bombshell: On March 15th, dust off your cleanest t-shirt because ANCIENT is storming into town with ‘The Cainian Chronicle’ SPECIAL SHOW! And they’re not alone! Sharing the stage with them are the formidable forces of NocturN, Moribund Oblivion, and LLOTH! You can check everything here.

Now that the news has settled in and we’ve planted the seed of excitement, it’s time to dive in and dissect this monumental event piece by piece:
Remember ‘The Cainian Chronicle’? Of course, you do, even though it may have been a while since its release in ’96, emerging from the legendary grounds of Bergen, Norway. Amidst the legends, the scene, and local myths, Ancient forged its trail in the Norwegian black metal scene, crafting a unique storytelling experience placed in a raw, dark, and some might say, even a tad romantic tune, imbued with a distinctly European scent.
For many, ‘The Cainian Chronicle‘ was a gateway to the depths of the black metal occult, a journey marked by haunting instrumentals and a shift towards melody. Somehow underrated yet unforgettable, Ancient‘s discography promises to envelop listeners in its lugubrious atmosphere.
With all that said, it’s no coincidence that we’ve delved so deeply into ‘The Cainian Chronicle’ – Coincidence? Not likely.
Dear ladies and germs, in just two weeks, Ancient will grace the stage at Quantic Bucharest, ready to blow our minds with their highly anticipated special set. This won’t be just any show – it’s one of those special ones, bearing the unmistakable mark of Cain….So mark your calendars!
Until then, let’s delve deeper into the lineup and uncover more reasons why you absolutely cannot miss this epic event!
First up, LLOTH. If you’re a Dungeons & Dragons fanatic, you’re already halfway there! Named after the goddess of the dark elves in the Forgotten Realms campaign, LLOTH embodies a legacy that stretches beyond music.

Founded by Tristessa (formerly of Astarte), LLOTH continues to honor her name and carve its path in the Hellenic Black Metal Cult. With their only full-length album “Athanati” unleashed in 2017, LLOTH cemented their place in the pantheon of the Hellenic Black Metal scene.
From the depths of sorrow to the heights of Greek mythology, these maestros infuse their black metal mastery with melodic undertones that will captivate your soul.
The next stop on our journey brings us from Greece to Turkey, where we encounter the captivating sounds of Moribund Oblivion. Returning to Romania, Moribund Oblivion brings with them a unique blend of black metal that intertwines philosophy and emotion with an oriental twist.
Hailing from Istanbul and boasting members from Groza, their presence alone is a validation of the promise of a show that will swiftly capture your attention and ignite your passion.

Last but certainly not least, allow us to introduce you to a local gem: NocturN.

As Romanians, we’ve long lamented the absence of a thriving metal scene, but fear not, for NocturN emerges from the shadows of Timisoara to deliver a symphony of decay fused with black tunes and misanthropic battles of existence. It’s high time for our local scene to have met The Embrace of Death, and NocturN seems to deliver it properly so, my lads, this is the answer to our prayers.
As with any vivisection, the forensic should leave room for those delightful self-discoveries. So if you haven’t already, mark your calendars and prepare for an experience that’ll leave you breathless. Whether it’s something to eagerly anticipate or quietly whisper about to your friends (or fiends – we don’t judge), one thing’s for sure: this is a night you may not want to miss. So grab your tickets, gather your crew, and get ready for a nostalgic brew.
