As announced in the beginning of this month, British metal band Tableau Mort released their latest single. Faustian came out on December 15th, along with a music video featuring Megadeth‘s drummer, Dirk Verbeuren. This marks the first release without their original drummer, George Bratosin. He left the band earlier this year due to health issues. Also, it is the last release in the current incarnation, lineup changes announcement will follow soon.
The dark and moody artwork for Faustian is the creation of Mia Nazarie. The band recorded the track in their own studio, with mixing and mastering done at Tide Studio London.
Guitarist and founding member George Topor commented:
“The collaboration with Dirk Verbeuren brings a fresh perspective, as he adds his own touch to the track. We deliberately mixed the drums with a slightly dry and analogue sound to accentuate Dirk‘s skillful playing. Faustian symbolizes our commitment to evolving our sound while maintaining the essence of Tableau Mort. We trust our fans will appreciate the introduced nuances… While, however, recognizing the familiar elements that define our music.”
After releasing a full length album, Visio In Somniis, last year in May, Tableau Mort have dropped a new EP this year in July. Titled Ignorance, Heresy and Malice, this latest material consists of four songs, out of which the fourth is instrumental.
