What better time to enjoy bone-chilling riffs, fast and heavy tunes than the begining of the dark winter days? If you are of the same mind, then The Netherlands should be your next destination of choice: between 7-9th of December 2023, the heaviest metal festival is returning to Eindhoven.
Eindhoven Metal Meeting is held in the Effenaar concert venue, which sports two concert halls. The warm-up concert starts on Thursday the 7th with four bands, then the bulk of the line-up will play on Friday and Saturday. Don’t fret, there are day tickets as well as weekend passes, but make sure you secure yours sooner rather than later, as the solid-packed line-up is definitely going to attract concertgoers! Read on for the daily splits, line-up, and ticket info.
Line-up and daily splits
Headlining this year’s edition are two legends from both sides of the thrash metal legacy: Overkill (US) and Sodom (DE).
Along for a heavy ride are bads such as blackened death metal stalwarts Necrophobic (SWE), the most recent melodic black metal addition of Naglfar, alongside numerous extreme metal acts. Other notable mentions from the black metal scale would be Urgehal‘s final show, Cult of Fire‘s mezmerising oriental twist on black metal, the icelandic mistreatment gang Misthyrming, Darvaza or the Austrian post black metal Ellende. These are just a few recommendations but be there from the curtain call as every band is set to deliver solid, dark, heart-wrenching performances.
