Helgrindur, the eponymous second album from the pagan/black/death metal band Helgrindur, arrives after their notable debut, Von Einst, in 2017. Celebrated for their dynamic live performances, the band returns with a 10-track collection that delves into a blend of fairy tales, myths, legends, and original stories, all cast in a pagan metal framework. The music is marked by melodic depth and lyrical intensity, capturing the essence of their folklore-inspired themes. The album’s cover art features the gatekeeper of Hel and mirrors the band’s stage aesthetic, adding a visual component to their compelling narrative.
