Sakis Tolis
The man doesn’t really require any introduction: one of the easiest-to-recognise voices in extreme metal, Sakis Tolis is a force to be reckoned with on any stage. The lead singer of beloved Greek band Rotting Christ, he has been shaping the face of European extreme metal for almost 40 years. After releasing five albums with Thou Art Lord and 13 with Rotting Christ, Sakis launched his first solo album, Among The Fires Of Hell, in March 2022. You can check out the first single off of this album below:
On Thorns I Lay
On Thorns I Lay is a death/doom metal band from Greece. They formed in the early ’90s, and have since released ten studio albums. Their most recent album is freshly out of the prints: the eponymous On Thorns I Lay album was released on October 13 via Season of Mist. Take a listen to the absolute head-bopping third single Thorns Of Fire below:
Machiavellian God
Machiavellian God is already a known name in the Romanian undergorund scene. They are melodic death metal band from Bucharest, Romania, founded in 2017. From a compositional stand point, their songs are created in a unique manner, combining elements from doom, black, atmospheric, and many more, all ingeniously layered over a solid foundation of melo-death. Lyrically, Machiavellian God delves into intriguing subjects like Gnosticism, esoteric practices, mythical stories, and ancient beliefs, perfectly complementing their music.
They are currently working on their second album titled Beyond the Void. Take a sneak peak of the first single from this upcoming album, The Burden of Existence:
