Finnish death metal band Scythrow has officially signed with Awakening Records and will be releasing their third full-length album, this end of the year. Titled Blameless Severed Extremities, the eight track new material will come out on November 29th. Furthermore, this new album is coming only a year’s distance to the band’s latest releases, the LP Scorched Earth and the EP Envy Is the Filth of the Soul.
Hailing from Lappeenranta, Finland, Scythrow came to life in 2020. Initially, the band started with thrash metal roots before evolving into a chaotic death metal powerhouse. With Blameless Severed Extremities, the band takes a leap into the depths of old-school death metal, delivering a crushing mix of rapid-fire blast beats, chugging guitar riffs, and raw, aggressive vocals. Produced, mixed, and mastered by Arttu Muukkonen, the album was recorded in Lappeenranta during the summer of 2024. The Finnish band’s third album promises to be a relentless sonic assault that will resonate with fans of Death, Morbid Angel, and Cannibal Corpse.
