Today, the underground scene and not only, suffered a terrible loss by the unexpected death of the musician and producer Fabiano Penna. Opening the subject of death is like opening the pandora box and I personally don’t think it’s proper so I’ll leave the cause of death or any other related info to the medical staff. What I wish instead is to appreciate and point out what he gave us and left us, and that is a huge and meaningful contribution to music, especially to Death Metal through both his hard work as a musician and as a producer.
Mr. Fabiano Penna was a great guitarist who lifted the bricks for the foundation of the Brazilian Death Metal. His technicality was unique and an inspiration for many others, being a prolific musician. He is probably most popular for his work with Rebaelliun, as follow:
- 1998 – Promo Tape’98, Demo – guitars
- 1999 – At War, Single; – guitars
- 1999 – Burn the Promised Land – guitars
- 2000- Bringer of War, EP – guitars
- 2001 – Annihilation – lead guitars and lyrics
- 2016 – The Hell’s Decrees – guitars
After the end of Rebaelliun (or better said after the band decided to take a what it turned out to be a break) in 2005, he formed The Ordher, originally named The Order, which split up after 6 years, in 2011. Fabiano Penna also played guitars in the thrash metal band Andralls ( between 2007- 2008), guitars and bass in Horned God ( ex- Sacrifice, 2002-2003) altogether being involved in many side projects.
He gave us the best and we remain thankful but yet with a deep pain in our hearts!
