French progressive metal collective March of Scylla is ready to release their highly anticipated debut album, Andromeda, on March 7th, 2025, via Klonosphere/Season of Mist. To give fans a taste of what is to come, the band dropped the single Ulysses’ Lies on December 13th, last year.

Founded by Christofer Fraisier, guitarist and former member of Taman Shud, March of Scylla emerged from Amiens in 2020, carving a niche in the dark, progressive metal scene. The lineup also features Gilles Masson (drummer, formerly of Ashura), Robert Desbiendras (bassist), and Florian Vasseur (vocalist). Their previous EPs, Archives and Dark Myth, reveal a wide range of influences, often drawing comparisons to GojiraTesseractSleep Token, and Architects.

The band recorded mixed and mastered Andromeda at the renowned Studio Sainte-Marthe in Paris with Francis Caste. The album delves into the vastness of space and humanity’s intricate relationship with science, the cosmos, and the afterlife. Themes of existential anxiety, social injustice, and deep emotional struggles intertwine with personal storytelling, universal mythology, and historical context, offering a powerful and thought-provoking musical journey.

3. The Royal Way
