We’ve already dropped the big news: TAAKE is returning to Quantic on February 14th with a special anniversary show!
And what’s an exclusive show without killer opening acts to kick things off? Get ready for Vokodlok and NocturN, two local legends who are guaranteed to blow your boots off!
Vokodlok is a name that probably brings back a lot of memories for a certain Romanian generation (damn, guys, we’re getting old). Since 2000, Vokodlok has been a bold force in the underground scene—back when local black metal options were few and far between. They were one of the first bands to turn heads with their intense energy and unforgettable performances. Their journey began with the legendary demo “Unchain the Wolf” in 2000, followed by their debut album “Mass Murder Genesis” in 2003, both released under the Beauty of Pain label.
After a string of epic concerts, Vokodlok took a break, but not for long. In 2020, they made a triumphant return with the EP Oracle’s Fury and announced they’ll be back in 2025 with their much-anticipated second album, The Egregious Wight.
And speaking of Timișoara and the 2000s, we absolutely can’t leave out NocturN! With their solid footing in the black metal scene, NocturN cemented their place in the darkness with “Death Scent” and, according to the whispers, their appearance on the split album “Hell Has No Gate, Yet Men Will Dig to Enter.” After the band lineup was completed, they released “Thrones of Deception”, the first act of the story about an architect attempting to summon Malphas, the Prince of Hell.
In January 2024, the Timișoara-based band released Act II: The Conjuring, where the architect successfully summons Malphas and tricks him into carrying out his wicked plan.
As for their performances? Well, come see for yourself.
Vokodlok and NocturN are bringing their legendary sounds to the stage, and trust us—this is one you’ll want to be part of.
