The iconic act King Diamond needs no further presentation! Only to clearly state when and where! Well, Metalhead came up with the surprise today, as they have announced the magnificent news: King Diamond will perform in Bucharest, at the Roman Arenas on July 8th 2025. Moreover, good news don’t stop here: the guest artists on the occasion are Unto Others and Myrkur.
Meet the bands:
Formed in 1985 by Kim Bendix Petersen, known under the stage name King Diamond, the Danish group has influenced generations of artists and continues to do so. To date, they have released 12 studio materials, most of which are concept albums. The band’s second album, Abigail is considered by both critics and fans as one of the most important concept albums of the heavy metal genre. In 2025, King Diamond will release a new album, entitled The Institute. One of the most acclaimed acts at all prominent metal festivals around the world, with hundreds of concerts under their belt, King Diamond cemented their unique status as a legendary band continuing to write history even today.
Unto Others come from Portland, United States and play gothic metal with heavy influences. The foundations of the band were laid in 2017, initially under the name Idel Hands, the band changing its name in 2020. To date, they have released three studio materials, the most recent being Never, Neverland out in 2024. They have already toured extensively in North America, but also shared the stage in Europe with names like Behemoth, Arch Enemy or Carcass.
