Thrash metal sonic devastators, Under Assault, hailing from Paraguay, released their new sonic onslaught on November 29th. Titled Deadly Experiments, the nine track second full-length came out via Witches Brew.
Deadly Experiments, the sophomore album from Under Assault, is a high-octane journey through the classic thrash metal canon, refracted through a punk ethos that gives it a restless urgency. Formed in 2011, the band has sharpened its identity over years of demos, splits, and live performances, arriving here with a sound that’s ferocious yet tightly controlled.
The album’s nine tracks, recorded at Las Palmeras Studios between May 2022 and June 2024, showcase the band’s knack for balancing relentless aggression with precise musicianship. Rolando Lopez’s recording and mixing allow the chaos to breathe without sacrificing impact. The result is a collection of songs that feel immediate and lived-in, from the cutting riffs of Criminal Corporation to the searing charge of Hang Them All. What sets Deadly Experiments apart is its narrative depth. Beneath the explosive arrangements lies a fierce critique of corruption, societal decay, and systemic failures.
