SoundArt Festival Returns with Its Most Ambitious and Complex Edition Yet!

In 2025, SoundArt Festival spans March 10-16 and takes place across multiple venues. The heart of the festival, as always, remains at Quantic Club, its partner since inception, where concerts will be held on March 14 and 15 with the first lineup announcements, including Villagers of Ioannina City (Greece), Bong-Ra (Netherlands), The Answer Lies in The Black Void (Hungary/Netherlands) and Hypnosaur (Poland). Additional bands, venues and activities will be revealed soon.

The festival brings an exhibition to be opened from day one until the final day, plus cultural events on March 12 and 16. Additional concerts will also take place at two other partner venues. The organizers have crafted the entire SoundArt Festival 2025 experience around the alchemical concept of the Magnum Opus. Attendees will embark on an initiatory journey through each concert and activity, gradually recreating the stages of the Great Work of self-transformation.

Band Highlights

Villagers of Ioannina City – Rock/Folk/Psychedelic, Greece

Returning to Quantic’s stage for SoundArt 2025, Villagers of Ioannina City is one of Greece’s most renowned bands in the rock/folk/psychedelic scene. Established in 2007, their sound is rich in traditional influences from the Epirus region. Their debut album, Riza (2014), blends classic rock grooves with Greek traditional instruments, followed by the Zvara/Karakolia EP, and in 2019, the band released the critically acclaimed Age of Aquarius, a musically rich work inspired by Greek culture and featuring lyrics in English.

Bong-Ra – Experimental Stoner/Doom Metal, Netherlands
Bong-Ra, the alter ego of Dutch artist Jason Köhnen, began as a DJ but quickly turned to creating his own music in 1997. Known for blending Drum & Bass, Breakcore, and later Experimental Stoner/Doom Metal, Bong-Ra’s Antedeluvian (2018) is a fuzz-laden assault, while Meditations (2022) leans into contemplative soundscapes.

The Answer Lies in the Black Void – Atmospheric Doom Metal, Hungary/Netherlands
Founded in 2021 by Jason Köhnen and Martina Horváth, this project explores personal interpretations of Doom Metal, with two albums already released. After a well-received debut, Forlorn (2021), they returned with Thou Shalt (2023) and are currently working on a third album.
