Death metal band Conjonctive will release their new album Misère de Poussière on November 22nd. To give a taste of what is to come, the band dropped the single Ombre et Ordure on July 1st.
Formed in 2007, Conjonctive is a death metal quintet hailing from Nyon, Switzerland. They exploded onto the scene with their debut album, Until The Whole World Dies, released in October 2013 through Tenacity Music. This album propelled them to a prominent position in the Swiss metal scene, with extensive tours across the country and opportunities to open for renowned bands such as Crowbar, Biohazard, and Aborted.
Conjonctive’s impact was further solidified when they won two M4Music awards for their single Somnambulant Cannibal, which was hailed as the demo of the year and the most promising Swiss rock song of 2014.
In 2017, the band made a powerful return with their sophomore album, In The Mouth Of The Devil. This dark and aggressive record showcased their evolved technical and songwriting prowess… Indeed, a result of four years of dedicated work. Once again recorded, mixed, and mastered by Vladimir Cochet at Conatus Studios, the album came out worldwide on March 10th via Tenacity Music.
Fast forward seven years, and Conjonctive is back with a new album titled Misère de Poussière. The long interval between releases was due to a hiatus in 2019-2020 and significant lineup changes. Including the addition of drummer Guido Wyss (formerly of Near Death Condition), whose exceptional skills have elevated the band’s sound to new heights.
Misère de Poussière is Conjonctive’s most brutal album to date. The band aimed to produce something raw and unrefined, eschewing samples in favor of an old-school death metal attack.
