Wardruna, the Nordic folk group known for their haunting and atmospheric music, will come to Rockstadt Extreme Fest. The festival, set in Râșnov, Brașov, provides an ideal setting for Wardruna’s dark and evocative soundscapes, which draw from global folk traditions and ancient Nordic instruments.
Since their formation in 2003, Wardruna has gained international acclaim with their “Runaljod” trilogy and contributions to the “Vikings” TV series soundtrack. Their 2021 album “Kvitravn” explores themes of animism and sorcery, and they recently released the single “Hertan” in 2024, marking the start of a new creative phase.
Rockstadt Extreme Fest 2025 is shaping up to be an extraordinary event, featuring over 100 bands across three stages over five days. Other notable acts include Gojira, Powerwolf, Within Temptation, Emperor, As I Lay Dying, Obituary, Static-X, DevilDriver, Wind Rose, The Kovenant (Nexus Polaris set), Bane, Fit For A King, Dying Fetus, Midnight and Night Demon.
Tickets for the festival, including a Teen Full Pass for attendees aged 12-18, are available on the festival’s official website. Camping passes will go on sale tomorrow morning.
