Romanian atmospheric folk/black metal band Sur Austru will release the new album, Datura Străhiarelor, on August 30th, via Avantgarde Music. The band has announced a concert at Quantic Pub, on October 19th in celebration of the new album release.
Sur Austru is pleased to present the new album Datura Străhiarelor, their most complex and ambitious project so far. Three years after releasing the second full-length ritualistic Obârșie, Sur Austru is once again ready to take listeners deep into a magical initiation into the Romanian tradition.
Datura Străhiarelor presents the apocalypse, triggered by magical beings from Romanian mythology… Their spells break down the gates between the fantasy world and the real one. Haunting incantations and invocations, traditional instruments and percussion, organic and powerful guitars… All combine to create atmosphere and sonic aggression.
