Epic/melodic black metal band Bloody Valkyria, hailing from Tuusula, Finland set September 6th as the international release date for their debut album. Titled Kingdom of Fire, the six track full-length with a runtime of 48 minutes is due to come out on multiple formats via Northern Silence Productions.
Bloody Valkyria is an epic/atmospheric black metal solo-project from Finland. A newcomer… However a bloody impressive one. Conceptually, the stories on Kingdom in Fire revolve around J.R.R. Tolkien‘s Silmarillion. Majestic melodies, dark soundscapes, heavy sections, catchy riffs and grim vocals… Melodic, instrumental sections come in obvious contrast with angry sounding black metal screams and growls. This debut album sounds organic and boasts the complexity that epic metal, fantasy oriented, generally lacks.
No detail is cast aside as less important. There are plenty of emotions conveyed… ranging from rage to sorrow and everything in between. Furthermore, there’s a flair of cinematic approach, with sward battle samples and the medieval atmosphere created here and there. Top notch stuff! Nothing less than impressive!
Musically, the album may appeal to the fans of Cân Bardd, Dwarrowdelf, Caladan Brood, Belore, Saor, Emyn Muil and other similar bands.
