Killing Spree

Born during an electrifying tour in Japan, the avant-garde duo Killing Spree is the brainchild of Matthieu Metzger (Klone, National Jazz Orchestra, Louis Sclavis, etc.) and Grégoire Galichet (Deathcode Society, Glaciation, Kwoon, Vent Debout).
This formidable pairing merges the raw power of metal with the unpredictable spirit of free jazz improvisation, creating a soundscape that defies genre boundaries.

Matthieu Metzger‘s heavily saturated saxophone, manipulated with an array of machines, engages in a relentless duel with the explosive drumming of Grégoire Galichet, a virtuoso renowned in the French extreme music scene. The result is a thrilling catharsis, oscillating between darkness and light, intensity and humor, woven through the threads of metal and progressive music.

Following the acclaimed release of their EP A Violent Legacy, featuring inventive covers of classics by Death and MeshuggahKilling Spree is back with their highly anticipated new album, Camouflage. This album continues to showcase their unique blend of death-metal ferocity and electrifying, irreverent free jazz textures.

Camouflage will come out on September 13th via Klonosphere/Season of Mist, promising to deliver an unprecedented auditory experience. Prepare to be engulfed in a sonic journey where brutal rhythms meet wild improvisations… Indeed, pushing the boundaries of what metal and jazz can achieve together.
