Fans of technical death metal have reason to celebrate as Aydra, the cult tech-death band, announces the release of their brand new single, Forever Hide. This highly anticipated track marks the band’s return after a 20-year hiatus since their last studio album, Hyperlogical Non-Sense. The single came out on July 22nd and it is a total blast! Moreover, on February 11th, the Italian band published the lyric video for their upcoming album title track Psycho Pain Control.

Aydra ’s career began in the mid 80s under the moniker Hydra, soon evolving to their definitive and peculiar style as one of the main Italian bands carrying the technical/prog death metal flag in the 90s. In collaboration with Rude Awakening Records, who recently reissued Aydra‘s entire studio catalogue, the band is ready to embark on an exciting new chapter. Forever Hide will be part of a concept album which will come out in October 2024.

Frontman Mauro Pacetti shared his enthusiasm: “We’re thrilled to announce Forever Hide, a brand new track which marks the beginning of a new chapter for Aydra since 2004. Get ready for an intense and revolutionary experience!”

The single, mastered at Fascination Street Studios in Sweden—famous for its work with Amorphis, Dimmu Borgir, and Ihsahn—promises an unparalleled auditory experience. Thus, it stays true to Aydra‘s legacy while pushing new boundaries in technical death metal.
