Formed in 2022 and including Waano, XKrude or Anima Adversa members, RedFace will release their first album on July 29th. Titled First Blood the record will come out on LP and digital formats via Violence In The Veins label. It is a powerful, catchy, and eclectic work, which moves between the melodic death metal, groove metal, and alternative metal of bands like early In Flames, At The Gates, Lamb Of God, Gojira, or Deftones.
As the Andalusians point out, their music captures “the passion and feelings described in their lyrics, conveying the maximum expression of each state of mind”. They recorded these songs themselves and had them mixed and mastered by Alex Cappa (Hamlet, Vita Imana, Dawn Of The Maya, Thirteen Bled Promises) at The Metal Factory Studios. For the cover artwork they have trusted Grind Brothers Art and Ángel Fernández Mesa.
After an intro full of locally-flavoured humour, RedFace will run you over with furious riffs, a strong rhythmic base, and the multiple vocals of JavLess, who can either invite you to the chorus or tear you apart with his ripping and gutturals. Oozing attitude, RedFace are going for your neck and they don’t intend to stop.
