Wolfhorde

Finnish folk/death metal band Wolfhorde will release their third studio album Bloodmoon Symphonies on August 30th 2024 via Inverse Records. The second single Killer Rabbit of Caerbannog came out a few days ago, accompanied by a lyric video. However, in June the band dropped the first single, Tormented (Beyond Apprehension)

The band comments:
Killer Rabbit of Caerbannog is a metaphor or a description of severe depression. It is the soft creature that is easily disregarded as ‘nothing’. Yet, it possesses the potential for absolute destruction. The lyric video for Killer Rabbit of Caerbannog is a combination of imagination and artificial intelligence. Obviously, with the intention of creating something nightmarish to complement the lyrics of this song.”

Wolfhorde skillfully combines different elements into metal music. The way their music is presented is well thought out. Also, it includes influences from folk music and the vast sound worlds of cinematic music. The goal is to create a versatile, distinctive and engaging listening experience. While the band embraces the intensity and power of metal, they also integrate the softer, more melodic aspects. This combination of styles allows them to create music that is not only heavy and compelling, but also rich in texture and meaning. They combine aggressive guitar riffs with atmospheric symphonies and folk music accompanied by various lyrical themes.
