Brutal death metal band Wurm Flesh is back! After several years of silence, Wurm Flesh have violently resurfaced from the contaminated soils of Sacramento! Indeed, with a new line-up and an all-new three track EP, Teratogenic Malformation. The new lineup sees original members vocalist/guitarist Rob Calhoun and drummer Mitch Bauder, joined by Bo Rogers on bass. Also, Joe Salazar on guitar and backing vocals. Together, this quartet of formidable musicians brought an inevitable and punishing evolution to the band. Building upon the warped foundations of decimating debut album, Excoriating Evisceration, Wurm Flesh are now pushing even further into the outer limits of madness and brutality.

About the new EP

Teratogenic Malformation begins with the formidable drums and wild riffs of its title track.  The guitars skittering across the surface of sanity and plunging envenomed fangs through muscle and bone, vein and tendon. It’s a dizzying assault of bewildering ferocity, with Calhoun’s vocals plumbing utterly inhuman depths. Defenestration follows with barely a pause for a ragged, panicked breath, exploding in a cascade of gore, a whirlwind of intensity. Technical dexterity is perfectly welded to absolute savagery and unfathomable heaviness as the coils of this beast unwind.

Brilliant drumming and addictive riffs deliver an astonishing payload, battering the pleasure centers of the brain like machinegun fire. Also, the killer riffs just keep coming – every one a glorious, malevolent monster! As Teratogenic Malformation tears towards its bloody conclusion, with Viral Consumption. If this triptych of screaming terror is an indication of what Wurm Flesh plan to unleash with their second full-length album in 2025, then hell, horror and supreme death metal art await!

Recorded, mixed and mastered at Mayhemness Studios in Sacramento (Rings Of SaturnObliviatedWastewalker etc), Teratogenic Malformation sounds fearsomely destructive! Indeed, the sheer sonic power captured within the three tracks is astounding. With the package completed by the disturbing artwork of Sean Walusko (Dire PerilZombie Death Stench etc) this EP is essential listening for not only Wurm Flesh fans, but all devotees of the most brutal forms of death metal. Wurm Flesh are back and Teratogenic Malformation is coming out on July 26th via Comatose Music!
