Austrian epic death doom metal band Endonomos will release their new album, Endonomos II – Enlightenment, on September 27th via Argonauta Records. To give a taste of what’s to come, the band released a new single, Atheon Anarkhon. This is, actually, the second song the Austrian band released from the upcoming album. The first single Hostile, boasting at almost 9 minutes length, is a highly melodic doom monolith. It deals with the inherently ill-disposed nature of life towards each other (read more).
The second single Atheon Anarkhon of Endonomos‘ upcoming second album is a far more sinister and menacing sounding song as the first single Hostile. From the uncanny intro of dissonant chords and unsettling sounds to heavy, mean riffs and a highly melodic chorus, this one sports all the trademarks of Endonomos‘ distinct style, while pushing it’s boundaries.
“The ancient Greek song title Atheon Anarkhon could be translated as “no god, no sovereign”. Furthermore, it deals not only with the inseparability of atheism and anarchism… but mainly how their counterparts (theism and autocracy) contradict human nature and corrupt the human mind.” – says the band.
On their second album, Endonomos refined their sound. They went deeper and more eclectic in their particular vision of doom metal. Recorded, mixed and mastered once again at DeepDeepPressure Studios, the album delivers thick riffs, epic melodies, uncanny chord progressions, cavernous growls as well as captivating clean vocals.
