Athens-based blackened death metal outfit Serement has released, on May 17th, their anticipated debut full-length Abhorrent Invocations via Dolorem Records. Following the dissolution of their previous act Blessed by Perversion, the core members regrouped in 2022 to form Serement. Also, the Greek band issued the Deviation from God EP that very same year.
Now, signed to the French label Dolorem Records and with support from Mexico’s Iron, Blood and Death Corporation, the band presents their nine track debut album! Indeed, it is a sonic onslaught combining elements of blackened and old school death metal into a dark, heavy atmosphere.
The mixing and mastering of Abhorrent Invocations was handled by Georgios Christoforidis at Ignite Music Studio, with artwork courtesy of Misanthropic-Art. Thus, the album further cements Serement‘s rise from the ashes as one of Greece’s most punishing new extreme metal forces.
