Doom death metal band DinUmbra released the new album Finality, on May 31st. The new material is available both as digipack CD, and digital format, on most streaming platforms.
The album presents a post-apocalyptic world in which the surviving people face a wide range of problems… The struggle for survival feels so real… Also, avoiding manipulation by creating false idols. The tracks convey feelings such as despair, love, revolt or hopelessness. All these feelings come from the awareness of belonging to a dying out civilization. Indeed, despite people’s efforts to save it, the world is on the brink of extinction… Each piece is a part of a puzzle with the image of a world we shouldn’t end up in! Therefore, Finality is a warning signal for all of us.
The physical format of Finality was made in collaboration with Psychosounds Music. Daniel Neagoe created the graphics of the digipack and Radu Otarasanu, the layout. Furthermore, Mirel Cristea dealt with mixing and mastering.
So far, the band has released seven other studio materials, the first one being an LP distributed as an audio cassette in 2003 (DinUmbră). Two EPs followed, in 2007 (Haunted By Snails) and in 2011 (Santandrei). Then, the LP Soul Of A Galaxy came out in 2015, followed by the singles The Hunt, Dying World and The Idol, published before the release of the new album.
