Mephisto, recognized for their unique Cuban black metal style, has unveiled the videos Symphony of Wolves and Lord Draculia from their upcoming album. Titled Carpathian Tales, the album will come out on March 1st, 2024, via Brutal Records.

Brutal Records is thrilled to share the news of their recent collaboration with Cuban symphonic black metal trio. The band has officially signed a global deal with the label.

Carpathian Tales delivers a tightly woven and expertly produced sound. Moreover, it skillfully blends various elements and styles within its genre, maintaining an engaging quality.

Each instrument is allowed room to breathe, with the symphonic elements skillfully integrated, never overpowering and seamlessly coexisting with the fast-paced and more intense sections throughout the album.

Indeed, the vocal range is noteworthy, encompassing harsh and throaty tones. Occasionally, it incorporates traditional death metal elements, providing the album with a diverse appeal. The bass contributes a fantastic dirty, fat twang, enhancing the album’s overall impact. The drums exhibit both simplicity and technical skill from start to finish, introducing an almost progressive layer to the songs. Undeniably, the guitar work is classic black riffage… Melodic, swift, and expertly performed, akin to a perfectly charred slab of beef.

Lineup:

Kevin Chaperón – Guitar and Vocalist
Fabián F. Rodríguez González – Guitar
Alexander Jorge Parra – Bass, Drums Sampler and Orchestra

With a track list that promises to take listeners on a tumultuous journey through realms of chaos and darkness, Carpathian Tales delivers a blistering over 40-minute assault on the senses. The album features a diverse array of collaborations, showcasing the band’s unyielding commitment to their art.
