OFFICIAL STATEMENT ABOUT ARTMANIA FESTIVAL 2020

OFFICIAL STATEMENT ABOUT ARTMANIA FESTIVAL 2020

Dear friends,

Thank you for your patience, understanding and for the support you’ve always showed during so many years. We are sorry that, for now, we cannot offer a precise response regarding this year’s edition of our festival.

We are monitoring the situation, are in contact with the authorities and we are waiting from Romanian authorities a clear and precise response regarding the rules applied to events with large attendance, like our festival, so that, depending on the official decisions, we can further see what feasible solutions can apply to us in the context generated by this pandemic and come back to you with more detailed answers.

Only after the Romanian authorities will communicate their official position we will be able to come back with clear details regarding our event.

We have to wait for a clear official position coming from state authorities given the fact that any other decision taken by us might not be in line with the potential official measures established. Also, such decisions have serious consequences from a legal, financial (though the difficulties increase with each unclear day) or logistic point of view.

While waiting the announcement of an official position coming from Romanian authorities, as a preventive measure, we discussed with most of the bands booked for ARTmania to check if, in case of postponement, they can attend our festival during 23rd -24th of July 2021 in the Large Square of Sibiu.

We already received confirmations from: Amon Amarth, Cult of Luna, Clutch, My Dying Bride, Port Noir, Testament and The Vintage Caravan. These discussions currently continue with the other bands given the fact that, as we all know, the COVID-19 pandemic literally messed up tour and concert schedules at a global level.

Just like all of you, we wish to be able to come back as soon as possible with more detailed information regarding the festival that we raised together during the last 15 years.

Thank you for your continuous support and for your understanding.
Take care of each other, respect the official recommendations, stay safe!

Yours truly,
The ARTmania Festival Team
